This full day retreat - geared towards clergy, spiritual leaders, and interested lay people - will provide a safe and supportive atmosphere in which to explore the creative process of learning and telling stories. You will come away with increased confidence and skills to lift a story off the written page and make it your own, as well as how to identify, craft, and tell personal stories. The art of compassionate listening is an important aspect of the day.

" I came to realize how compelling and powerful stories are. Stories connect people. Stories are the means by which people make sense of their lives. Stories create meaning. Stories are sacred, and everyone has a story. We learned about different kinds of story and how we could use that in our everyday life, in the life of the church, in counseling, in our lives."
