"Kate's gift is not only her knowledge, but the warm and thoughtful manner in which she encourages others to be bold and fearless in their revelation of personal stories.  Suggesting and encouraging creative ways of transforming unique stories from thoughts to writing, she offers non-judgmental expertise and loving insight."
Cantor Pamela Siskin (CT Director of Pastoral Care at Temple Beth-El, FL)

Warning: This class will be a lot of fun!

Each day will begin with a soul gathering experience.

Day One:  We will explore the differences between personal stories, memoirs, and ethical wills.  After discussion we will share techniques and actually start writing!  You will leave with the beginning of your story and instructions for proceeding.

Day Two:  At home you will continue to write the story you started, and perhaps some others as well.  Back in class we will share these stories. Feed back will be available and the teaching will center on how to color in the spaces and complete your project.

We are remembered by the stories we tell, and the stories people tell about us after we are gone.
This class will help you know where to find your stories, and multiple ways to write and tell them.

Of course, we will discuss the challenging questions as well. What do I do with this now that I wrote it? Who should read it? Can I make it look like fiction? And perhaps even: what do I do with these feelings now that I have found them?

As always, our intention is for a spiritual environment that encourages compassion, growth, and deep understanding.
And a few laughs! These sessions will provide ample time to develop our ideas and have deep discussions in a safe and encouraging container.

This project can begin at any age, and all are welcome.
Each day will begin with a soul gathering experience.
